Postdoctoral Fellows & Visitors

There are many different Postdoctoral Fellowships available nowadays, and many of those available in the EU require an international component, such as Marie Curie Fellowships. If you would like to come to UWA for your out-going research - please get in touch to discuss possible projects.

Academics from the US may wish to come to UWA through the Fullbright program - if so, please get in touch.

The Australian Research Council (ARC) has a Discovery Early Career Research Award (DECRA) which are Postdoctoral Fellowships available to both domestic and overseas applicants. DECRAs are highly prestigious and highly competitive.

The NHMRC has Early Career Fellowships if you are within 2 years of finishing your PhD. As with DECRAs, these are extremely competitive. Deadline for both DECRA and ECF is typically Feb/Mar each year but applications can require many months of preparation - so get in touch with plenty of time to spare if you are interested.

Regardless of the type of Fellowship you have or if you would just like to spend some time performing research at UWA - if you have your own money then you are always welcome :)
