Research Interests:

Before joining VascLab, my research focused on the effects of phosphate-solubilizing bacteria for use as a fertilizer supplement, as well as investigating methods of cyanide recovery in gold-leaching operations for the Parker Co-operative Research Centre.

Currently, I am working towards my PhD investigating the biomechanics of diseased blood vessels. Specifically:

Progression of common arterial diseases (atherosclerosis, aneurysm).

Influence of disease progression on arterial wall material properties.

Impact of disease on tissue strain behaviour.

When not in the lab I’ll most likely be reading, playing the violin or traveling far around the world.
